Dale Edward Neushwander, 74 of Minooka, passed away suddenly on Nov. 24, 2025. Beloved husband of 26 years of Caren Butsky-Neushwander, Dad of Eric (Kelli) Neushwander and Melissa “Missy” (Adam, late 2025) Reinke; Stepdad of Judy (Scott) Haney, Gerald (Nerlyn Coriano) Butsky; Grandpa of Carson and Madelyn Neushwander, Evan Reinke, Bailey (Matthew) Haney, Kacey Haney, Korrie (Jimmy) Prodzenski, Melanie (Blair) Mislich, Ashley, Aaron, Sadie, Kylie Coriano. Great-grandpa of Tatum and Finn Mislich and Avri Coriano. Brother of Daniel (Kathleen) Neushwander and Denise “Wilbur” Neushwander-Frink (Brian) Frink. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Dale was born to the late Dean and the late Barbara Neushwander in Eden, North Carolina and raised in Channahon, IL. A graduate of Minooka High School, Dale enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served in the Vietnam War as a medic. After his service he worked for Plainfield Tool and Die until his retirement. Dale enjoyed fishing, Nascar, the Cubs, Bears and later for no good reason, the Green Bay Packers. He was his grandkids greatest sports fan and attended many baseball games. He loved spending time with his family, Nanny and all the kids. Visitation will be held on Mon., Dec. 1st, from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6201 Vollmer Rd. Matteson, Illinois 60443. Interment and Military Honors following at St. Paul Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306 a charity that Dale supported or to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
