Cynetha M. Johnson-Nieves

Cynetha M. Johnson-Nieves, age 68, a resident of Calumet Park, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Loving wife of Angel M. Nieves; beloved mother of Corey Nieves and Kevin (Latea) Nieves; dearest sister of Linda (Gary) Hines and Edward Farmer; cherished grandmother of Angel Nieves, Amar'e Nieves, Ava Nieves, Tobias Nieves, Hayden Nieves and Cyneiko Nieves; dear aunt of Sheena Johnson, Marshun (Cheles) Johnson, Khalil Johnson, Jamal Johnson, Trey Johnson, Cali Johnson, Sherrod Walker, Taishawnna Walker and Arielle McElroy. She is also survived by a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Cynetha was a librarian for the University of Illilnois and Chicago State University. She was a school board president for Burr Oak Schools in Calumet Park. The family will revieve friends on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM. ALL ATTENDING THE VISITATION AND FUNERAL SERVICES ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCE. NO FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE FUNERAL HOME. Interment will follow to Lincoln Cemetery, Chicago. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Cynetha's name to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
