Clarence " Swede" August Carlson

Clarence "Swede" Carlson, age 90, a longtime resident of Frankfort, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 7, 2022, with his family by his side. Loving husband of Beverly Carlson (Hedge); beloved father of Kenneth (Rose) Carlson, Gregory (Patti) Carlson and Renee (Michael) Smith; cherished grandfather of Ryan (Krystle) Carlson, Allison (Paul Twohey) Carlson, Brandon (Jackylynn) Smith, Carly (Devin) Sarno, Faith (fiancee Daniel Novoa) Carlson and Adam Carlson; proud great grandfather of Casey Carlson, Luke Carlson, Everett Sarno and Finley Sarno. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Longtime devoted employee of TJ Lambrecht Construction in New Lenox and a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Frankfort. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM with a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 AM. Interment with military honors will follow to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Peter's United Church Christ would be appreciated.
