Charles Joseph Gura Jr.
Age 90, lifetime of the Joliet area passed away November 3, 2011. He was a baker for Rainbo Bakery in Joliet for over 40 years retiring in 1984, a member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union, an avid Duck Hunter, Bee Keeper and a member of the Moose Lodge. Charles is survived by his loving family; children Gretchen (Richard) Pouk, Shirlee (Ted) Studer, David (Susan) Nofftz, Charles (Mady) Gura and Larry (Cindy) Gura; siblings Emery (Marlene) Gura and Rosie Nikiel; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Gretchen (nee Barnett) Gura, his parents Charles and Maria (nee Buron) Gura Sr., 4 brothers, 1 sister and 2 grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 3 – 8PM. Funeral Services on Friday, November 11, 2011 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 11:15 leaving for St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Heritage Manor Nursing Home/The Activity Group 300 E. Mazon Ave. Dwight, IL 60420 would be appreciated.
