Charles R. Dircks

Charles Ray Dircks, age 83, passed away June 2, 2025. Chuck was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 3, 1941. Beloved husband of 61 years to Karen Dircks (nee Rach), loving father of Cheryl (Richard) Gamen and Laura (Larry) Kubiak; dear brother of the late George Dircks and Jerry Dircks; loving Papa of Rachel Gamen and Ryan (Ashley) Gamen. Throughout his life, Chuck was a self-employed typesetter and enjoyed being in nature, catching butterflies, woodcarving and painting birds, bowling, golfing, doing puzzles, winning the game of Parcheesi, dancing with his wife, and being involved in his children's and grandchildren's lives. Chuck was "one of a kind" and will be greatly missed. Memorial contributions may be made in Charles name to Peace Lutheran Church Peace 360 youth group. A visitation will be held at Peace Lutheran Church 1900 E Lincoln Highway New Lenox, IL on Saturday June 28, 2025 from 10-11am. Funeral service will be at 11:00am.
