Carol E. Murray (nee Budde)
71, of New Lenox, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. Carol was born in Dubuque, IA to the late Raymond H. and Lucille M. (nee Gross) Budde. Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Murray (1992); doting mother of Jessica (Mark) Crnich, the late Neal Murray (2014), and Erin (Nick) Voelker; loving stepmom to Joe (Sara) Baffoe; adored grandmother of Aubrey, Blaise, Clara, Dominic, and Frieda Crnich, and Reagan, Sadie, and soon to be born Lucky #8 Voelker; dear sister of the late Dola (Laverne) Runde and Donna (Bob) Beyer; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews; Great Aunt Carol to a lucky few; and dear friend to many. Carol was a math teacher at Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park, IL for 30 years, retiring in 2011. Carol enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time at the pool with friends and family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral Services Saturday, August 20, 2022, with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 am to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
