82 of Mokena passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. Carol was born in Chicago, IL to the late Speros and May (nee Patros) Stavrakos. Beloved wife of Philip Theodorou; loving mother of Stefanie Anastasia, Suzanne (David) Meersman, and Kevin (Tina Kwasnica) Theodorou; cherished grandmother of Andrew (Lindsay) Anastasia, Daniel (Maureen) Anastasia, Christopher and Michael Meersman, and Brandon and Alexandra Theodorou; dear sister of Paul (Judy) Stavrakos, and the late Eunice (late Edward) Pappas II; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was a teacher in CHSD District 218, a Principal at Polaris High School in Oak Lawn, and an Adjunct Professor at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. Carol loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers memorials in Carol’s name to the American Heart Association or the National Education Association would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Frankfort, IL on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 3:00pm until time of Service at 7:00pm.
