CARL JOHN REGO

Carl John Rego, 84 passed away peacefully on September 17, 2012.

Attended Farragut Grade School, Joliet Central High School where he played football & baseball. Carl was a United States Army Veteran who served his country during WWII. He was a Millwright at Caterpillar for 38 years. He played Dartball with St. Dennis Church for many years. Carl loved his fishing, hunting and traveling but baseball was his past time passion. He coached baseball for the Gold Medal Cassanova Gasers. Carl played for the Gold Medal Triple A's, the Belmont AC and the Caterpillar team. He was a big Yankees fan.

Born April 9, 1928 to John & Judita Rigo (Polo). Brother, John, ½ brothers, Skeeter & Emil and ½ sister Marci Sievert all deceased.

Survived by loving wife Eleanor (Stytz) of 62 years. Devoted sons & daughter in laws, James, Ron (Rita) & Ken (Julie). Caring grandchildren, Laura, Thomas, Daniel & Jennifer.

Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, IL, 60441 on Friday, September 21st, 2012 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM.
