Brant K. Atkinson

Age 51, of Mokena, IL. passed away peacefully Thursday February 12, 2026, at Spring Creek nursing home in Joliet. Born August 17, 1974. He was the son of Ronald Atkinson and Barbara McGuire. Brant was raised in the Manhattan area and was a graduate of Ridgewood Baptist High School in Joliet. 

Brant laid carpeting for several years before he moved on to management rolls at Menards and Berkot's Grocery. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and loved to play cards. 

Brant is survived by his stepfather JIm McGuire who he lived with for several years, His loving aunt Carol Misischia of Arizona, brother-in-law Michael Landeweer, nephew Ryan and niece Alexis Landeweer of Florida, stepmother Doris Atkinson, friend Amy (Paul) Mitchell, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins in Illinois and Arizona. 

Brant was preceded in death by his father and loving mother, sister Kara Landeweer.

A visitation will be held at Hickory Creek Church 10660 W. Lincoln hwy. Frankfort, IL. 60423 on Saturday February 21, 2026, from 10:30AM until time of funeral service at 11:30AM.
