Billie Jo Rose (nee Komperda)

Age 40 of New Lenox, IL passed away at home on Wednesday, August 17, 2023, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Billie Jo was born in Oak Lawn, IL to Frank and Pat (nee Knasiak) Komperda. Beloved wife of Alex Rose; loving mommy of June Jo Rose; dear daughter of Frank and Pat Komperda; cherished twin sister of Bobbie Jo (Robert) Sullivan, and sister of the late Jimmy Joe Komperda; sweetest Auntie to Eva, Jimmy, and Ryan; loved niece, cousin, and friend of many. Billie Jo was a talented painter and crafter. She enjoyed playing co ed recreational volleyball, swimming, and playing card games with the family. She was a diehard Cubs fan. Billie Jo will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 2pm – 6pm. Funeral Service Monday, August 21, 2023, with prayers at the funeral home at 11:00am then to St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Mokena.
