Betty Jo Hunley (nee Martin)

Age 97, of New Lenox, IL, formerly of Ada, OK, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Vanoss, OK to the late Otis and Viola (nee Roundtree) Martin.

Beloved wife of the late Hugh H. Hunley; loving mother of the late Barry (Bobbie) Hunley and Danny (Cindy) Hunley; cherished grandmother of Holly (Bill Mueller) Hunley, Leigh (Stacy Lyn) Hunley, Jason (Jackie) Hunley, and Stacy Elizabeth Hunley; proud great grandmother of 14 and great-great grandmother of 1; dear sister of the late Bobbie (late Bill) Counts, Mattie (late K. D.) Hunley, the late Otis Jr (Jean) Martin, and Jerry (Judy) Martin.

Betty was an active member of Ridgewood Baptist Church, Joliet, IL. and loved singing in the choir. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
