Barbara L. Spikings (nee Carsey)

Age 77, of New Lenox, IL passed away at home on Monday, January 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Barb was born in Chicago, IL to the late Edward and Evelyn (nee Marsh) Carsey.

Beloved wife of James “Spike” Spikings; loving mother of Scott (Tina) Spikings and Susan (Greg) Bernard; cherished grandmother of 7; dear sister of Carole (Ken) Koldoff; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Barb taught at Chelsea Intermediate School, Frankfort, IL School District 157-C for 37 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Barb will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 2 pm – 6 pm. Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00am at the United Methodist Church of New Lenox, 339 W. Haven Ave, New Lenox, IL.
