BARBARA J. HANSEN

Age 88, passed away on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet.

Barbara is survived by her loving family, niece, Mary (Gerald) Malok, nephew, Ralph (Jackie) Vitiritti, great nieces, Haley Malok, Venessa (Dan) Hardy, great great niece and nephews, Elliot Hardy, Jasper Hardy, Oliver Hardy and Vivienne Hardy.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf & Mildred Hansen (Dubowski) and sister Lois Vitiritti.

Barbara was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force who served her country for 26 years and was the first veteran to be honored by the Quilts of Valor Foundation at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet. She was also the Director of Nursing at Oak Park Hospital until her retirement.
