Amy L. Goldsmith

March 26, 1957 — July 5, 2025

Our beloved Amy—my wife of 34 years, mother to Alexa, Nicole, and Allison, and daughter of Audrey and Ernie Pfranger—passed away peacefully yesterday at 4:57 p.m. at Lightways Hospice Home. She was surrounded by her three daughters and many dear friends.

Amy was a vibrant, generous, and deeply loving presence in our lives. We are heartbroken by her loss but comforted by the love that surrounded her in her final days.

She had a passion for bicycling and a spirit of adventure. Over the past four years, we shared unforgettable bike tours with friends through the Baltic, Japan, Portugal, Vietnam/Cambodia, and most recently the West Coast of France—each trip filled with laughter, challenge, and joy.

We are profoundly grateful to the doctors and nurses at Silver Cross Hospital, as well as the compassionate staff at Lightways Hospice, who cared for her with such kindness. We are also deeply thankful to Amy’s many close friends who came to visit, pray, and sit with her—and with us—during her time in hospice.

If you wish to honor Amy’s memory, we invite you to consider a donation to one of two causes she deeply admired:

APOPO (HeroRATS) – a remarkable organization based in Siem Reap, Cambodia, that uses trained rats to detect landmines and save lives. Donations can be made at www.apopo.org/support-us.

  • Green Seeds – a grassroots school in Cambodia’s Kampong Tralach district, teaching children to read and speak English. Donations can be made at ktgs-cambodia.org/donation.

Please note that donations can be made in honor of Amy Goldsmith, Santana Adventures.

We welcome you to share your memories of Amy in the days ahead
