Altha Manns

Altha Manns, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Lightways Hospice House in Joliet.

Altha is survived by her beloved children, Daniel (Candace) Manns, and Patti Manns; grandchildren, Robert and Michael Manns; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Logan, and Camden Manns; siblings, Doris, Bruce and Floris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Manns; her parents, John and Belle Lambert; and her siblings, Edna, Junior, and Ott.

Altha will be remembered for her love of gardening and flowers. She also loved to read when she could or listen to audiobooks. She had an infectious laugh and cared deeply for her family. She always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Services for Altha will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11am. Guests are asked to meet at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, at 9:45am on Friday, before traveling in procession to the cemetery.
