WILLIAM J. CONVEY

Age 86, a resident of The Cottages of New Lenox, passed away on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2021 at the Mother Theresa Home in Lemont.

William is survived by his loving family, children, Ranelle (Paul) Berkshire, Lauren (Jack) Recinto, former wife, Jeanette Convey (Taksas), grandchildren, John Paul Berkshire, Ava Berkshire, Evan Recinto and Vera Recinto.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Elsie Convey (Schor), siblings, Walter Convey and Dorothy Daugherty.

William was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War; he retired as an Operating Engineer from the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago.

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 10th, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Frances Road, New Lenox, IL 60451. Funeral service, Friday, June 11th, 2021 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and then to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment with full military honors, Monday, June 14th, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood IL 60421. PLEASE ARRIVE TO THE CEMETERY BY 9:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
