Virginia Ruth Millsap (nee Guess)
Age 80 of New Lenox, formerly of Frankfort, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
Ruth was born in Stevenson, AL to the late Theodore Roosevelt and Elizabell (nee Sutton) Guess.
Ruth was the loving wife of the late Bobby Dean Millsap; loving mother to Sandra D. (Robert F. Jr.) Flowers, and Dustin B. (Sandra L.) Millsap; cherished Mammam to Robert F. III (Katarzyna “Kasia”) Flowers and Victoria E. Flowers; Grannymam to Cody Dean and Noah A. Millsap; dearest sister to Charlsie McAfee and loved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Linda Guess, Elizabeth (Guy) Matthews, JD (Dorothy) Guess, John Henry “Buster” (Reba) Guess, Nancy (Bob) Davis, Stella (JT) Pryor; dear brother-in-law Kenneth McAfee, cherished stepmother Mildred “Bill” Guess, and nephews Theodore “Ted” Pryor, John David Guess and Thomas “Tommy” Pryor.
Ruth took pride in raising and caring for her family and serving the Lord. Ruth was a born-again Christian who loved Jesus and showed that love in so many ways by helping others, preparing meals and writing cards. She served faithfully on the kitchen team, meals on wheels, and VBS when she was able.
Ruth was the proud member of the Marble Plains Baptist Church, Winchester, TN and regular attender to Lighthouse Fellowship (Baptist) Church, Frankfort, IL. Funeral Services and Interment will be in Tennessee. In lieu flowers memorials in Virginia's name to the Disabled American Veterans or Vitas Hospice would be appreciated.
