Virginia Mae Kwiatkowski (nee Myers)
93, formerly of Orland Park, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County. Virginia was born in South Rockwood Michigan to the late Melvin and Helen (nee Olah) Myers. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Kwiatkowski (1995); loving mother of Colleen (Rick McHale) Pickens, Alan Kwiatkowski, Mark (Robyn) Kwiatkowski; Cherished grandmother of Scott (Carol) Pickens, Adam (Sandi) Kwiatkowski, Liza (Matthew) McKoin, and proud great grandmother of 9; dear sister of Raymond (Helen) Myers, Geraldine (Fred Hogg) Thorn, and Marlene Halye; dear aunt of many; preceded in death by her loving companion of 20 years William D. Smith (Nov. 22, 2020), grandsons Jeffrey Pickens (2008), Steven Pickens (2009). Virginia was a secretary for Pluskota Electric Co. retiring in 1985. She was a member of Presbyterian Church of Orland Park. The family wishes to thank all the Sunny Hill care givers on 6th Ave. for their loving care of Virginia, with special thanks to Vanessa, Christina, Simon, and Darren. Private family service will be held. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Virginia's name to Friends of Sunny Hill would be appreciated.
