Virginia M. Engelhardt was born in Brownsville Texas to the late Raphael and Juanita (nee Sanchez) Duran and passed away August 3, 2023. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Bruce Engelhardt; loving mother of Diana (Scott) Pavey, Rich (Tammy) Engelhardt, and Denise Engelhardt; cherished grandmother of Anna (Dwayne) Griffin, Steven Mendez, the late Crystal Miles, the late Amanda Engelhardt, Alex Engelhardt, Heidi (Freddy) Cannon, Dusty (Harold) Bastian, Jordan (Chad) Graybeal, Cole (Amanda) Herald, Jimi (Shanna Serna) Engelhardt, Tiffani (Julian Dorsey) Engelhardt, the late Ashley Ramsey, and Stephanie Ramsey; proud great grandmother and great-great grandmother; dear sister of the late Poncho‎ and‎ Olivia‎ Lara‎, the late Damas‎ and‎ Adam‎ Valdez,‎ the late Mike‎ and‎ Ellen‎ Duran‎, the late Mary‎ Duran‎, Rafael‎ (the late Delia) Duran Jr.‎, Janie‎ and‎ Wes‎ Rightmire‎, the late Joel‎ Duran‎, and the late Ruth‎ Duran‎. Virginia was a member of the International Community Church, Frankfort, IL. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Friday August 18th from 9:00am until time of chapel service at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Elmhurst, IL.

A celebration of life will be held at their residents in New Lenox immediately following the services at the cemetery.
