Veronica R. Schmidt (nee Slattery)

Age 62, of Mokena, IL passed away at her home on Friday, January 27, 2023. Veronica was born in Chicago, IL to the late Richard and Constance (nee Macklin) Slattery. Beloved wife of the late William K. Schmidt; loving mother of Bill (Melanie) Schmidt, Bobby Schmidt, and Sarah (Hector) Reyes; cherished grandmother of Hector, Cody, and Elizabeth Reyes; dear sister of John (Debbie) Slattery, Judy (Jeff) Frazier, Kenny (Lori) Slattery, Jimmy (Geanie Peters) Slattery, and Tommy Slattery; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. Veronica retired from the Clerk of the Circuit Court Cook County, IL. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers memorials in Veronica’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 11:00am until time of Service at 2:00pm. Interment will be private.
