Age 76, passed away peacefully at his home in New Lenox on Friday, October 16, 2020. Beloved husband of Judy Dixon (Blackburn); loving brother of Peggi Maher and Maureen Ryan; dear uncle of Liam Dixon, Brendan (Pam) Maher, Kevin Maher, and Chaz (Kendra) Blackburn; brother-in-law of Charles (Denise) Blackburn. He loved seeing and hearing about the activities of his great nieces and nephews, Conor, Jack, Colleen, Caitlin, Ryan, Emily, and Addy. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Margaret Dixon (Higgins), brother Patrick (Shari) Dixon, mother-in-law and father-in-law Charlie and Lily Blackburn, and nephews Charles “Bubs” Blackburn and Sean Dixon. Tim was a United States Vietnam Army Veteran. He was a member of the New Lenox VFW Post #9545, and lifelong member of Ingalls Park Athletic Field in Joliet. He retired from the Illinois State Police after 32 years of service. Tim was a lover of all sports and enjoyed annual trips to Florida and Las Vegas, and many happy times at the Stone City VFW Post #2199.
