Age 85 of Frankfort formerly of Matteson passed away Friday, January 22, 2016. Loving husband of Barbara (nee McCarthy) for 61 years, beloved father of Tom, Rich (Debbie), Rob (Cherry Ann Bates), D. J. (Kristen) and Chuck (Karen); cherished grandfather of Sarah, Lauren, Conner and Shannon. Thomas was a veteran of the U. S. Army, an accountant for Peoples Gas and Light Company, a member of Park Forest Tennis Club, Charter member of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church and an avid fan of Notre Dame and the Chicago White Sox. Family will receive friends on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423. Funeral Services, Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 AM leaving for St. Lawrence O'Toole Church 4101 Saint Lawrence Ave. Matteson IL 60443 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Lawrence O'Toole Church or St. Vincent DePaul Society would be appreciated.
