65 of Mokena, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, surrounded by loving family. Taylor was born in Chambley, France to Gayle (nee Teston) Gurley Farrell and the late James T. Gurley. Beloved husband of Denise (Nee Hopkinson); loving father of Taylor Gurley Jr, Jacque Gurley, Brittany (Sammy) Mitchell, Teig Palmateer, and Keeli Palmateer; cherished Paw Paw of Laila, Bella, and Ryleigh Gurley; dear brother of Michael (Shannon) Gurley and Kent (Kristina Swanson) Gurley; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Taylor was owner of Phoenix Industries USA, Inc for over 25 years. He was a member of Lunker’s Fishing Club and a social member of the Mokena V.F.W. Taylor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way Frankfort, IL on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 4pm – 8pm. Entombment will take place at Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans, LA.
