Shirley Walter

Shirley Walter (nee Franke) age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bill Walter, and was the beloved Mother of Linda (Bill) Macy; Cherished Grandmother of Ryan Macy & Lori (Brian) Meltzer; Proud Great Grandmother of Beckham Meltzer; Loving sister of Sharon Morton. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Marie Franke, brother Wally and sister Sandy. Shirley had the most loving, giving heart and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Memorial service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 N. Cedar Road New Lenox IL, 60451 on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Internment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Lightways Hospice and Trinity Lutheran Church, New Lenox would be appreciated.
