Age 67, of New Lenox, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Russell was born in Chicago, IL to the late Robert and Alice “Jean” (nee Wally) Johnson. Loving father of Jason (Jennifer) Johnson, David (late Sarah) Johnson, and Cheyenne (Kyle) Novak; cherished grandfather of Adeline and Rylan Johnson, and Teaghan Rae Novak; dear brother of Ross (late Janice) Johnson, Phyllis (Robert) Prindle, and Douglas (Louise) Johnson; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Russell was a Lead Layout Welder for American Stair for over 49 years. He enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycles throughout his life. He was an avid movie watcher and collector, and he recently began the hobby of woodturning. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either the Glioblastoma Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project. The family will receive family and friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 1:00pm until Time of Sharing at 4:00pm.
