Rosemary Bolker

Rosemary Bolker, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
Rose is survived by her loving children, Frank Bolker and Laura (Jim) Doran; grandchildren, David J. and Julia Rose Doran; siblings, Ann Petroline and Delores Marsic; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard J. Bolker; parents Stanley and Rose (nee Cichy) Galica; siblings, Stanley Galica Jr., and Frank Galica; and her very special Aunt Mary.
She was incredibly determined , courageous, generous and loving . She lived life her own way, always , and passed that way as well. Rosemary was as loyal, dedicated , and hardworking as they come, working over 56 years, 44 of them with the same company. She was a wonderful cook who put all that energy into everything she made . She would do anything for her family and did that time and time again. She earned the nickname “Poker Rose “ from her family who loved playing cards with her . She was a “ Royal Flush” in Hearts. Fiercely Independent, truly a force of nature . She will be dearly missed by many but so very happy to be reunited with her love Rich.

Services for Rosemary will begin on Thursday, October 28, 2021 with a visitation at Saint Jude’s Catholic Church, 241 W 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL at 1pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place immediately after at 2pm. Per Rosemary’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and she will be laid to rest with her husband Richard at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Jude Catholic Church would be appreciated.
