Rose Ann Thomas

Rose Ann Thomas, age 88, a resident of Frankfort, formerly of Park Forest and spent winters in Surprise Arizona, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Loving wife of Donald Thomas; beloved mother of Linda (Brent) Smith, Gail Salter, Laurie-Anne (Robert) Wieringa and Nancy Gibbons; dearest stepmother of Susan Carroll, Tammy (Neal Nordstrom) Thomas and Debbie Thomas; fond sister of Jeanne (Pascual) Ortez; cherished grandmother of Jonathan (Amber) Eames, Amelia Salter, Maggie Salter, Robert T. Wieringa, Jennifer (Joseph) Ponce, David (Natalee) Wieringa, Thomas James Gibbons, III, Skyler Gibbons, Natalie (Mat) Kroll and Matthew (Laura) Korland; proud great grandmother of Jacob, Lily, Seth, Benjamin, Bailey and Beckett; and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Anna Pfeiffer; infant daughter Sandra Rose; sisters Irene Winick, Nancy Briggsman and brother Robert Norkon. Rose Ann was an avid gardener, she enjoyed painting, making stain glass, seamstress and laundry. A memorial visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM, with a memorial service at 2:30 PM.
