Roberta L. Amadio (nee Haskell), 85 of Peotone, formerly Chicago Heights, passed away suddenly, Dec. 27, 2022 in Largo, FL. Beloved wife of the late Richard Amadio, Sr., cherished mother of Richard, Jr. (Charlotte) Amadio of Chicago Heights and Renee (David) Klimala of Lansing; fond grandmother of Joseph (Laura) Amadio, Anthony (Lelia) Amadio, Nicholas (Candice) Amadio; Ben Klimala, and Jenna (Patrick Kozy) Klimala. Great-grandmother of Anthony, Ana, Allie, Raymond, Avery, and Sophia Amadio. Sister of the late Earleyne (late Jim) Meinhart, late Barbara Jo Thompson, Bert (Birgit) Haskell, Mary Jane Capriotti. Sister-in-law of the late Frances (late Albert) Somer, late Violet (late Raymond) McGrath, Eleanor (late Razor) Pignotti, late Thomas (late Catherine) Amadio, late Jo Ann (late Louis) Simonetti. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, especially dear to her are those friends at the Yankee Traveler RV Park in Largo, FL and Peotone Breakfast Club. Roberta was born to the late Josephine and late Bert Haskell in Chicago Heights and graduated from BTHS Class of 1955. She worked for the Chicago Heights National Bank and was a hairdresser for many years. Roberta and Richard were married 59 years before he passed away in 2016. Roberta had the idea to start Joey's Concession Business and it has now served the area for 38 years where Roberta and Richard worked together with 4 generations of family. Visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way in Frankfort, IL on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Sat., Jan. 7th from 9 a.m. until Prayers at 10:00 a.m., at Kurtz to St. Agnes Church for a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass, 1501 Chicago Rd., Chicago Heights. A Committal will be held in the future at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elmwood, IL.
