Robert P. Massat, Sr.

Age 74, of Frankfort, Green Garden Township, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020. loving husband of 53 years of Diana “Penny” Massat (Norbut); beloved father of Monica (Matthew) Tures, Renee Perkovich, Jason (Dianna) Massat and Jeremy Massat; cherished papa of Lauren, Abigail, Madeline, Austin and Alyssa; dearest brother of Fred Massat, Stanley (Betty) Massat and David (Brenda) Massat fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son Robert P. Massat, Jr.; son-in-law Scott Perkovich; parents Fred and Florence (Strand) Massat; sister Mary Massat and sister-in-law Nancy Massat. Bob worked for Green Garden Township Highway serving as Highway Commissioner for 34 years, a member of Heavy Equipment Operators Local #150, New Lenox Riding Club, President of Will County Fair Board, St. Anthony Catholic Church, Frankfort, NRHA and NMRA. Robert showed quarter horses, enjoyed drag racing and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic; services for Bob will be private, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
