Robert K. "Bob" Contreras
Bob was embraced into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ and welcomed home by his parents Anarbol and Edna on June 13, 2012. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). Survived by his loving wife of 37 years Ana; a daughter, Jamie(Bobby) Vestal and a son Wesley (Suzie) Contreras; grandchildren, Xavier, Emily, Nick and Elijah; sisters Alicia (Douglas) Beabout and Julia Contreras; brothers Steven and Alexsandro Contreras. Bob was a very active member and Deacon at Ridgewood Baptist Church, a member of IBEW Local 176, an Electrician for the City of Joliet for 30 years, and a part-time Deputy for the Will County Sherriff's Department. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet.
