Age 82, a resident of New Lenox, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. Beloved husband of Joan (Craig); loving father of Robert Jr. (Donna) Moore, Marianne (Gerry) Thomas, Michael (Lori) Moore, Christine (Lawrence) Hensley, Daniel (Stacey) Moore, and Ronald Moore; cherished grandfather of 18 and great-grandfather of 19; dear brother of Loretta (late Henry "Shen") Smith and James (Sue) Moore; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and his beloved dog Penny. He was preceded in death by his parents Oswald and Adeline Moore (Gould) and son Phillip Moore. Robert retired from Caterpillar in Joliet after 37 years of dedicated service and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Joliet. He was a man of many talents, and received his pilot's license and enjoyed flying small planes. In his younger days, Robert was fond of golfing, running, bowling, and gardening. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Saturday, May 5, 2018 with chapel prayers at 9:15 AM to St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1313 Ridgewood Ave, Joliet, IL 60432 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mt.
