Robert Charles Schlinger

Age 93 of New Lenox formerly of Palos Park, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice House.

Robert is survived by his loving family, children Robert (Shirley) Schlinger, Richard (Helga) Schlinger, Kathy (Richard) Kessen, Gary Schlinger and Mark (Melissa) Schlinger; siblings Ken (Gloria) Schlinger and Kathy DeYoung; grandchildren Cory, Nick, Jordan, Haley, Mallory, Taylor, Will and Nora; great grandchildren Alex, Audrey and Danny and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Ann Schlinger (Devine).

Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Frankfort.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 177 Luther Lane, Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 9:30 AM lying in state 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM Interment, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
