Robert B. "Grim" Grimmer
76, passed away at his home Wednesday, October 24, 2012. He was born in Chicago to the late Dr. Everett A. and Alice (nee Nielsen) Grimmer, living in the New Lenox area for the past 30 years. Survived by his loving family; his wife Frances V. (nee Haley); children, Scott (Linda), Guy (Michele), and Wendy Grimmer; grandchildren, Paul, Lauren, Jennifer and Kathryn Grimmer; a sister Tina Grimmer, and his two dogs Oliver and Chewie. Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was Owner/Operator of Lincolnway Prestige Limousine Service. He attended Knox College and North Park University. He also sat on the Advisory Board at Triton College. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL, on Monday, October 29, 2012 from 5:00PM until time of Memorial Service at 8:00PM. Interment will be Private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
