88, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away May 3, 2012, in Carrollton Texas. Born in Harvey, IL to the late Abe and Hazel (Henry) Vroegindewey. Survived by his loving family; his wife of 64 years Martha (nee Gerholdt); a daughter Janice Vroegindewey; sons Robert "Bob" and Larry (Jan); nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brothers Paul (Lois) and David (Kathleen) Vroegindewey. Robert was employed by Illinois Bell for 34 years. He was a U.S Army Veteran. Robert was a member of Calvary Temple Christian Center, Springfield, IL and an avid camper. A committal service will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 11:00AM.
