Richard E. Davis
91, of Orland Park, passed away Monday, November 30th, 2015 at Palos Community Hospital. Richard was born in Chicago to the late John R. and Florence (nee Smith) Davis. Beloved husband of Catheryne Christine (nee DuBois); loving father of Catherine Joanne (Rick) Carlson, Suzanne Mary Trevino, the late Laurie Ann Morganstern and Richard Jon (Patty) Davis; cherished grandfather of Christina, Heather, Julia Rose, Brenden, Abigail and Jonathan; great grandfather of many loyal friend and caregivers, Al & Vida Jankauskas. Richard was a WWII U.S. Army 4th Infantry Division Veteran, a recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for valor on Utah Beach during the D-Day Invasion in Normandy France. He was a member of Orland Park VFW 2604, and actively helped the Disabled American Veterans. Richard was the former Vice President of Commercial Loans at 1st National Bank of Morton Grove, but he retired as VP of Operations at United Leasing Corp. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 3-8 PM. Funeral Service Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
