Richard E. Bruns passed away on August 2,2021. He was born and raised in Beecher Illinois, He moved to New Lenox, Illinois with his wife Sandra to raise their family. He was very active in the community where he served on the school board, Economic Development Committee, and member of the New Lenox Lions Club. In 1988, he started his own accounting practice and practiced as a CPA in New Lenox until he retired and moved to Sedona, AZ with his wife Sandra.
Richard (Dick) loved to watch his kids and grandkids play sports, and he loved to play golf and cards with his family and friends.
He is preceded n death by his father Wilmer, mother Helen, and brother Leonard.
He is survived by his wife Sandra; brother Norman (Carol); sons Steve, Matt (Colleen), and Bryan (Kristen); and ten grandsons.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11th from 3 to 8 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in New Lenox, IL. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 12th at Saint John's Lutheran Church, 28054 S. Yates Ave. Beecher, IL at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the New Lenox Lions Club.
