Richard "Dick" M. Yelnick
Age 80, a resident of Homer Glen, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Beloved husband of Lois (Konrath); loving father of Ann Marie (Neil) Yelnick-Foley, Michaeleen Yelnick-Francis, Denise Emmel, Tony (Mary) Yelnick, and Richard Mark (Amanda) Yelnick; cherished grandfather of William, Courtney, Drew (Becca), Lindsay (Kevin), Alyssa (Adam), Richard, Megan, Annie, and Sam; dear brother of Virginia (late Hillard) Hacus, Nancy (late Tony) Liss, Gloria (late Patrick) Wrenn, and Patricia (late Jimmy) Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Ann (Petrich) Yelnick; and siblings Martin (late Sylvia) Yelnick, Marian (Jim) Bona, Jack (late Pat) Yelnick, John "Hybie" (Joyce) Yelnick, and Norman (Ida) Yelnick. Richard was the Owner of Dick Yelnick & Sons Inc. Cement Construction. He was a member of Local 1889 Carpenters Union, the Croatian Club, Ingalls Park Athletic Club, and Moose Lodge in Marco Island, FL. Dick was an avid Chicago fan, and loved the Chicago Bulls and Raiders. He enjoyed the Yelnick family picnics and pig roasts. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 3-9 PM. Funeral service Monday, April 30, 2018 with chapel prayers at 9:30 to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd St., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
