Richard Aust, age 63, a resident of Richton Park, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Loving son of Beatrice (Caraballo) Aust and the late Rudi Aust; beloved father of Ryen Jeffries , Maria (Clayton) Manheim, Sarah (Nando) Izaguirre and Christopher Aust; dearest brother of Edward (late Terry Beth) Aust; cherished grandfather of Trinitty, Robert, Jason, Liana, Naima, Halia and Iris. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and co-workers and friends. Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Germany, he worked as a guard for the Illinois State Police at the Thompson Center. He was a avid sportsmen enjoying hunting and fishing. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church 19515 115th Ave. Mokena, IL 60448 at 9:30 AM. WEARING A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE VISITATION AND MASS. Due to the COVID 19 restrictions the Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Freedom Service Dogs of America, www.freedomservicedogs.org would be appreciated.
