Renee A. Maltese, 58, of Markham, passed away suddenly on May 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Alfred “Al” Maltese in 2008. Beloved mother of: Tina (John) Varvel of Kankakee and Timothy Maltese of Oak Forest. Devoted Mee-maw of Madilyn, Hailey and Breanna Varvel. Cherished daughter of Rosalie (late Robert) Hasse. Dear sister of Nancy Jo (Mark) Mostert, “Debster” (Dan) Sippel, Linda (Tracy) Dove, Step-sister of Kathy (Fred) Brown, Sue Hasse and Misty Caswell. Aunt and friend of many. Renee was an administrative assistant at the Oak Forest Campus of South Suburban College. She was an avid reader who loved being on her computer, any beach, pool or hot tub with her sun tea. A Visitation will be held on Mon., May 10, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL. Masks are required and food is not allowed in the funeral home. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the Funeral Service and Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be private.
