Reginald F. Morgan, 87 of Peotone, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thurs., Nov. 9, 2017. Born Aug. 16, 1930 in Chicago Heights to the late Walter and Edith Morgan. Beloved husband of Barbara; Father of Mary Miller and Jennifer Morgan; Step-father to Terry (Jan) Balko, Scott (Linda McCluskey) Lovgren, Curt (Ivy) Lovegren and Jillian (Chris) Saxen. Survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his daughter, Debra (Mark) grandson, Ryne; brother, Walter and sisters: Kathleen, Marilyn, and Josephine. Reg retired after 43 years from Chemetron Fire Systems. He was an avid member and recent chaplain of the Peotone American Legion. Reg served as a Master Sargent in the US Army during the Korean War. A die-hard Cubs fan, he felt blessed to see them win the World Series. A Bloom High School Class of 1948 graduate. Active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago Heights. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 12th from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423. Interment Service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Mon., Nov. 13th at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Heartland Memorial Center.
