55, of New Lenox , passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Monday, October 22, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family. Raymond was born in Joliet to Natalie (nee Van) and the late Raymond J. Mooi Sr. Beloved husband of Kimberly (nee Johnson); loving father of Gina Mooi, Raymond N. (Margaret) Mooi, and Marley Mooi; cherished grandfather of Ryder Mooi, Everett and Memphis Mooi, and Logan Hans; dear brother of Vanessa (Michael) Doctor, and Cynthia (Thomas) Stanfield; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Raymond was owner of Ray Mooi Construction, Inc for over 25 years. In lieu of flowers memorials in Raymond’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 3pm – 9pm. Funeral Service Thursday, October 25, 2018 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30am to St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment St Mary Church Cemetery.
