Raymond James Baccega
88, of New Lenox, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Raymond was born in Chicago to the late Romano and Armida (nee Fioretti) Baccega. Beloved husband of 63 years of Nina (nee Colonello); loving father of Rosanna Baccega and Cathy Baccega-Carlson; cherished grandfather of Adam Baccega, Austin Ahrweiler, Zachary (Abbie) Carlson, and Lars Timothy Carlson; dear brother of Olindo (Mimi) Baccega; loved by many and missed by all who knew him. Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from St. Francis Hospital, Blue Island where he worked as a painter in the maintenance department. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 4pm – 7pm with military honors and prayers at 5:30pm. Social distancing and masks are MANDATORY for ALL in attendance. No food allowed in the funeral home
