RAY H. YOUNG

Age 87, of New Lenox, passed away on Saturday, July 6th, 2019 at Spring
Creek Nursing Home in Joliet.

Ray is survived by his loving family, wife, Jean Young (Sabin), children, Cathy (Jeff) Hill, Michael (Kris) Young, siblings, Harold Young, Joyce Cox, John Young, grandchildren, Lisa Ponce, Mike (Allision) Young, Ryan (Dominique) Young, Michelle (Doug) Dandurand, Amanda Hill, Katherine Agee and six great grandchildren.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, John & Mary Young (McNabb), siblings, Clara Kilgore, Opal Copeland, Odelle Gamble, George Young and Carlton Young.

Ray was a race car driver and avid fan of racing; he was inducted into the Chicagoland Racing Hall of Fame in Rockford, IL.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Saturday, August 10th, 2019 from 9:00 AM until time of memorial service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chicagoland Racing Hall of Fame or the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
