Peter Louis Shaeffer

PETER LOUIS SHAEFFER

Peter Louis Shaeffer was born January 27, 1950 in Madison WI. He died peacefully at home after a long illness on July 30, 2012.
Peter earned his bachelor's degree from Lewis University in Aviation Studies. He continued his studies toward his master's degree in Criminal/Social Justice. Peter was a pilot and flight engineer. In Saudi Arabia he was a proud member of the Aircraft Recovery Team. He worked for various airlines in the US and abroad including Saudi Arabian Airlines.
Throughout his life, Peter was dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and education. In 2001 he became an Instructor in the Lewis U. Dept. of Aviation. He also taught at Wilco Area Career Center. Peter was devoted to supporting his students to achieve their lifetime goals.
Peter was kind and charitable always showing deep care and concern for his family and friends.
Peter loved flying and his family has fond memories of him announcing his arrival by dipping the wings while flying over their farm before landing at the Sheboygan airport.
Peter is survived by his loving family, sister Pamela Munoz (Peter Munoz), nephew Jeffrey Munoz, niece Andrea Munoz and her children Katie, Matthew and William Shanahan (Wisconsin). He is preceded in death by his mother Lucille Shaeffer, father Louis Shaeffer, and sister Patty Shaeffer.
The family wishes to thank Louis "Rev" Revisky, John and Barbara Perricone and their family, for the many years of loving friendship and caring support they gave to Peter, and also to the staff at Edward Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and Cleveland Heart hospital.
