Patrick J. "Teddy" Lyons

June 26, 1951 — January 2, 2021

Patrick J. “Teddy” Lyons, resident of Frankfort, IL, Member of Locals 399 and 750 passed away with his loving family at his side on January 2 at the age of 69, due to complications of Covid-19.

Patrick was the devoted husband, best friend and soulmate of Ann-Marie (nee Kreitman). Adored father of Amanda Dietzen (James and daughter Vivienne), Brett (Mary Jesse) and Timothy Lyons. Survived by dearest sister Karen (Robert) Lucid and preceded in death by cherished sister Kathleen (James) Birmingham. Beloved brother-in-law of Paul (Sue) Kreitman, Edward Kreitman, Michael (Susan) Kreitman, Maureen (Ed) Cross, Kathleen (Robert) Garcia and his many treasured cousins, nieces and nephews.

Patrick was born in Evergreen Park, IL to the late Marguerite and Edgar Lyons; a graduate of Little Flower High School and St. Sabina Grade School where he has maintained many lifelong friendships to this day.

Lifetime member of Piscateers Fishing Club, former Ticket Manager of the Chicago Sting Soccer Club, lover of Turner Classic Movies, Master of the Irish Good Bye.

Teddy had a unique brand of humor that endeared him to friends, neighbors and strangers alike. He always had a wisecrack or a joke at the ready. He will be deeply missed but would want you to smile fondly and raise a glass when you think of him.

Due to Covid Restrictions, no services will be held at this time. Interment will be private. A celebration of Teddy’s life will be announced when it is safe for friends and family to gather again. In the meantime, in honor of Teddy, wear a mask, social distance and be kind to one another.
