83, late of Homer Glen formerly of Chicago, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Provena Villa Franciscan, Joliet. Born in Chicago to the late Walter and Marie (nee O'Neil) Kenneally; Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Smetana; Loving mother of Sharon (James) Ferrell, Denise (George) Haas, Robert (Laurie) Smetana and Kevin Smetana; Cherished grandmother of Michael Smetana, Susan Smetana and Kathryn (Josh) Tyler; Great grandmother of Jamie and Jessie Tyler and the late Joey Tyler; Mother-in-law of the late David Friant; Dear sister of James (Lillian) Kenneally, Celeste (Martin) Fallon and the late Walter Kenneally; Patricia was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox. She was a member and Officer of St. Jude C.C.W and taught 8th grade C.C.D. for eight years. She was President of St. Rita Mothers Club (1962-1964) and an Officer of Providence Catholic Mothers Club (1970-1972). In lieu of flowers memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 9-11AM then to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude at the church. Private Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
