NEIL V. NUNAMAKER

Age 75, passed away surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 9th, 2022 at Naples Community Hospital in Naples FL.

Neil is survived by his loving family, wife of 49 years, Betsy Nunamaker (Bird), daughters, Keely (Jeff Lehmann) Nunamaker, Jessica (Steve Murray) Nunamaker, grandson, Camden Nunamaker, siblings, Lyla Miller, Lois Berry, Loren Nunamaker, Gayle Beckner and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

Neil was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Gladys Nunamaker (Vinson), siblings, Eialeen Maltby, Wanda Shoemaker, Melba Walton and Cathy Jackson.

Neil retired in 2003 from Tinley Park High School where he taught Business and coached football, basketball and girls softball; he was a sports enthusiast and loved watching the Chicago Bears, the Illini, playing golf and Sudoku. Neil’s favorite happy place was wintering in Bonita Springs, Florida with his wife, family and friends.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, May 20th, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of the memorial service at 12:00 PM.
