Nedra A. Eller

Nedra Ann Eller (nee Sheffler)

Age 91, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. She was a beloved resident of New Lenox for the past 65 years. For more than 20 of those years, Nedra served, and became a friend to, so many of the customers of New Lenox State Bank. She was a long-time member of the New Lenox United Methodist Church and later, New Life Church. Nedra and her husband, Chuck, loved to dance together. At home, they would often put a record on the hi-fi and dance the night away. During the 1960’s they also danced with the Buttons & Bows square dance group.

Nedra is survived by her children, Walter “Skip” (Kim) Eller, Karen (David) Seil, Robert (Janet) Eller; her grandchildren, Shawn (Jessica Krinke) Seil, Justin Seil and Kaitlin (Ross Hipp) Seil; her sister-

in-law Lois Sheffler, and her nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Charles ”Chuck” Eller, her parents, Earl and Edith Sheffler, her brothers Walter and Alvin (Ona) Sheffler, and her beloved pets, Candy, Misty and Muffin.

Nedra will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great friend to many, and exchanging stories over the countless shared pots of coffee will always be a part of those cherished memories. Nedra will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service is planned at New Life Church, 500 Gougar Rd, New Lenox, IL at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Nedra’s memory to New Life Church, the Will County Humane Society or TLC Animal Shelter.
