82, of Mokena, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. Nancy was born in Lansing, MI to the late Edward J. and Lucille (nee Moss) Valliere. Beloved wife of the late John E. Mitchell; loving mother of Lori (Bob DiLorenzo) Mitchell-Hill, Jill (Tim) McEldowney, Rene (George Lange) Bochenek and Robert J. (Stacy) Mitchell; cherished grandmother of 8; dear sister of Edward (Arlene) Valliere and Arthur (the late Carmen) Valliere. Nancy was the original owner of Steamboat Hotdogs, Mokena. Thank you to all the caregivers and staff at Sunny Hill for the wonderful care given to our mom. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Nancy's name to Friends of Sunny Hill would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Funeral service Monday, January 9, 2017 with chapel prayers at 9:15am to St. Mary Church, 19515 115th Ave, Mokena, IL 60448 for a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Mokena.
