Muriel Leona Simnick nee Wordelmann

Age 88, a resident for 16 years at Marian Village in Homer Glen, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Simnick; loving mother of Michael (Sheila) Simnick, Stephen Simnick, David (Laura) Simnick, and Mary (Dale) Berger; cherished grandmother of 7 - Heather, Jason, Renee, Joseph, Christopher, Rachel and James and great-grandmother of 11. Dear sister of Milton Wordelmann, sister-in-law of Don Simnick and many nieces and nephews and her good friend Marian Kaiser. She also leaves behind many friends at Marian Village and staff members that assisted her over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Anna and her sister Eleanor (late Joseph) Hamilton. Muriel sang in various choirs. Muriel enjoyed knitting, playing poker and board game, puzzles, laughing, a good meal, chocolate and most of all, spending time with her family. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 East Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 3-9 PM. Lying in repose on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 10:30 AM until time of funeral mass at 11:30 AM at Marian Village, 15624 Marian Dr., Homer Glen, IL 60491.
